After the death of his wife, enigmatic Jonathan Ferris lived in a world of acquisition and mergers, a world where he knew financial security, a world filled with desolating loneliness. That was until River Roberts. She was intelligent, beautiful, sensual, and when their lives collided, his world changed.

But then there was reality: she wasn’t truly his.

In a world of commodities and trading, River and Jonathan must fight to preserve what their hearts desire. But will that be possible? Will their collision be temporary, or will they overcome the many obstacles in their way?

About the Author
Kelly Collins writes with the intention of keeping the love alive. Always a romantic, she is inspired by real-time events mixed with a dose of fiction. She encourages her readers to reach the happily ever after but bask in the afterglow of the perfectly imperfect love.

Kelly lives in Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains with her husband of twenty-five years, their two dogs, and a bird that hates her.
In her spare time, she enjoys walking the trails and visiting the mining towns like Cripple Creek. She likes to think it's the ambience that brings her there and not the amazing slot machine in the back of the casino.

In the winter, you'll find her tucked into herseat at The World Arena cheering her beloved Colorado College Tigers Hockey Team.  After several losing seasons she knows there's a win coming soon. Kelly is no fair weather fan.

She has three amazing children, and she wonders how they all turned out to be engineers when only the creative side of her brain seems to work. She just chalks it up to the engineering genes her husband contributed to the mix.
Creative minds need an outlet and writing books is where she focuses her excess energy.

Your parents hate you, you’re the pastors daughter who they think ...
By Bloggers From Down Under
**arc received for honest review**

You have nothing.

You’re scrapping through.

You have a s***ty job.

You’re studying.

You’re trying to pay your student loans.

River young trying to make something of herself, yours studying hard and working part time for a s***ty wage just to get through school. Your parents hate you, you’re the pastors daughter who they think is a whore. But now you become what they say, what they hate what they don’t believe in, you become the whore, the escort, someone who sells there body to make money. Its great money but at what cost.

How do you separate physical from emotional?

How do you sell your body?

Everyone sells something at a cost a price.

Does River sell her soul?

Johnathan wealthy, hot but a lot older. He lost his wife to breast cancer and is emotionally unavailable. He uses the service for a need, for a purpose for when his lonely. He sees her picture he sees her smile, they connect, there’s sparks he wants her but he can’t have her.

She is a service he pays for.

He can’t fall for her.

Did fate bring them together?

She leaves the Service and so does he but do they continue their relationship now that Johnathan isn’t paying for them?

We really enjoyed River and Johnathan’s story it shows that anything is possible and sometimes no matter where you are if you’re meant to be you meant to be no matter the circumstances.

This book took us on a ride we could feel his pain as he overcome falling in love with someone that wasn’t his wife and we watched River loose her spark then find her ray of sunshine again. She stood up to her parents in order for her to move on and get passed a horrible childhood of neglect and mental abuse.

We have never read anything By Kelly Collins before and she took us on her adventure, we were able to get drawn into the book from the very first page and it had us hooked

We highly recommend this read. Thank you Kelly for a great read!!

"A dash of sin can round out every experience"
By Mile High KINK Book Club
River Roberts, is a down on her luck, grad student working as a bikini barista to pay for rent, tuition and college loans. One day she decides enough is enough and reaches out to her best friend, Jade, for help and advice.

Jade introduces her to The Dean’s List. She goes from making $40 in tips to $350 per hour. If you are curious about The Dean’s List, you should be. Yes, it’s what you think it is.

This story was laugh out loud hilarious. The author must have been a standup comedian in another life. As I was reading this book on a flight, I knew people were looking at me as if I had loss my friggin mind. If you ever want to read the inner thoughts of what women really think about sex and personal grooming, The Dean’s List is your book.

I couldn’t help but highlight so many paragraphs on my kindle as hilarious. There were too many funny idioms about vaginas, penises and sex. The laughs alone are worth the read

River enters a new world of designer clothes and expensive restaurants. Among her clients, she has 3 enduring relationships that keeps her somewhat grounded in a world that could otherwise go a different path:

Jonathan, her first panty dropper lover she breaks the cardinal rule for: Never fall in love with a client

Paul, who is more like a student for her to teach;

Ben, a grandfatherly figure.

Jonathan becomes the perfect man. He treats her like she is the most important thing in his life - while they are together. Jonathan does not want to devote his time and heart to another relationship. As a widow, he chooses to enjoy his time with River without the hassles of a relationship.

Little does he know, he is in a relationship with River. The chemistry between her and Jonathan is undeniable and confusing. He chooses to ignore it; at the same time he becomes her knight in shining honor.

On the other hand, River operates as if she is exclusive to Jonathan. Even with her new lifestyle, she is desperately trying to embrace it for the sake of establishing valuable business contacts and becoming debt free from college loans.

Circumstances takes a turn that puts Rivers into a compromising and dangerous position. Jonathon once again comes to her rescue but leaves the next day. With that knowledge, River decides the lifestyle may not be for her.

In closing, I received this wonderful book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Unlike some books, you finish the book just to write the review. The Dean’s List was a book I wanted to read. And it’s very much a book I can read again in my down time.

Amusing, steamy, and entertaining
By Honolulubelle
Favorite Quotes:

“If you’re trying to scare me, you’re failing. You don’t have the fear factor. You wear Hello Kitty pajamas and drink caramel lattes for God’s sake. Who could be afraid of someone who likes cats and caramel?”

“A person would have to be a masochist to enjoy that spa day. The only consolation was it was supposed to get easier every time. The waxer was bold enough to say that sometimes the hair was so scared it didn’t grow back.”

“I’d have to separate my brain from my penis flytrap if I were going to get through this.”

“These aren’t young, stunning women. They are women who put off dating to break through the glass ceiling. One of them looked like she went headfirst.”

“She reminded me of the gargoyles that sat on top of old churches. They looked stiff and mean. That was Grace. She had that Botox-infused look that did nothing for her face. Her scowl would remain forever.”

My Review:

The Dean’s List was wickedly funny, highly insightful, well written, and sizzling in sensuality. In other words, it was close to nirvana. As with all of Ms. Collin’s works that I have read, the writing was entertaining, relevant, and atomically steamy. Ms. Collins has a knack for developing flawed yet vibrant characters and expertly placing them in a compelling and unusual story line that occasionally has me cringing, yet I am unable to put my kindle down. She has a marvelous style, unique talent, and mad skills. I am hopelessly addicted to her brand of humorous and steamy romance, and greedily want to read everything she ever writes.
