Perfect read for rainy day.

Alexis Bertrand thought she had the perfect life with a husband who loved her and a job she loved. Everything blew up when she found out her husband had been cheating on her and the man she thought she truly knew was putting her through the divorce from hell. When Alexis found out she was pregnant, she believed the baby was the only good thing to come from her broken heart. Her only constant show of support is her best friend Kyle Dupont. Alexis finds herself feeling something for Kyle and Kyle is not shying away from the feelings he has had for years for Alexis. Can Alexis let go of the pain of her past and create a new life with Kyle? He maybe able to help her on the path to healing.

Wonderful story, I loved that Alexis didn't just roll over she fought to begin a new life. She has a few hiccups but she is a strong woman who was inspiring. Kyle is so sweet, you know where his heart lies and you hope that Alexis can see that he is the one who she truly can count on. Perfect read for rainy day.

Touching story

I absolutely loved this story!!! Lexi is a strong, determined lady ready to take on the world. You can help but root for her from page one!!! I don't like to give away spoilers, so trust me when I say, Kyle is the man!!! Mary draws you into the story and makes it seem like you are right there living right along with Lexi!! Amazing! I can't wait to read Mary's next book!

Fantastic Story

Alexis Bertrand and Kyle Dupont were friends ever since they were little. Today they are best friends. Kyle introduced her to his friend Bennett. He didn't realize that they would fall in love and get married. Kyle was heartbroken because he cared for Lexi and didn't tell her. He tucked his feelings away. Five years later Lexi finds out her husband has been cheating on her and has been for quite some time. He wants a divorce from her. She moves home and tries to put her life back together. Then she finds out she is pregnant with Bennett's baby, but he doesn't want it. His girlfriend is pregnant and they want to get married. Lexi is brokenhearted but starts to move on. She sees Kyle a lot more since she moved home and they are starting to get close. He makes a pass at Lexi and they wind up in bed for some great sex. This starts a friends with benefits relationship for them, although Kyle would like more. He doesn't want to move too fast for Lexi and scare her off. This book does contain some sex but it isn't real graphic. This story is so sweet and I wanted to cry at parts especially toward the end. I know you will too. You will fall in love with these two in Love's Embrace

While I didn't enjoy this yarn as much as it's predecessor

While I didn't enjoy this yarn as much as it's predecessor, Pirates of Venus, it was still a great read. Like any Burroughs book it was full to the brim with action and death defying feats. The only catch for me was the continual running and being captured only to by the skin of Carson's teeth somehow escape; it got old. Plus it ends a lot like a television drama leaving you wondering what becomes of Carson and Duare; ensuring that you read it's sequel Carson of Venus. I really enjoyed it and would really recommend it to anyone who reads this type of fiction. P.S. I found it interesting that in the story there is a city of the dead. This city is populated by a madman and his army of reanimated corpses. Now being the '30's they didn't have this zombie craze like today, so Burroughs didn't call them the 'undead' or 'zombies' he just refers to them as 'the dead'. Just something about it struck me in a positive way, oh well.

Great and Frustrating

Like InfoPath itself this book is both great and frustrating. This book is certainty better than having no book at all. Book makes reference to some things without explaining how to do them or where in the book you can find information about these topics. Book does not go into great technical detail which keeps the reader from unlocking some of the power of the product but also prevents non technical people from being overwhelmed. It is my understanding that Microsoft is killing off Infopath so do not expect authors to put effort into creating better books on this topic. Sad as it seems like infopath is a great tool for small and medium size firms.

Cliff notes version of an InfoPath book

This is not what I consider a "real" technical book. To me, a technical book should have the following elements:
- Text that explains the concepts necessary to understand the technology being covered.
- Text that covers the technical details necessary to master the technology being covered.
- Graphics and images to support the above.
- Labs or exercises to walk the reader through mastering the technology.
This book lacks the first three! This book is more like a set of brief notes with some labs and even the lab/exercise information is quite sketchy and difficult to follow. This book is like what you'd expect back in school if you missed a class and then asked a classmate for the notes they took. The bare outline is there but not much else.

This book might work for some people but for me it's a big disappointment especially after just reading the much better InfoPath book "Using Microsoft InfoPath 2010 with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Step by Step". I would recommend the afore mentioned 2010 book even though it's for the 2010 versions of the products as it covers concepts, technical details and has better exercises even if in some cases you have to deal with the differences between SharePoint 2010 and 2013. As far as I can see there are no significant differences between the 2010 and 2013 versions of InfoPath.

Not what I expected

I got the book hoping for it to teach me how to auto populate table, however, I've found the instructions to be confusing and did not help me accomplish my goal. I have also had issues with using the example files I downloaded from the link in the book.

An Introduction for First-Year Students

Dan Laughey teaches media theory and media education at Leeds Metropolitan University. He is the author of another introduction “Key Themes in Media Studies” and did research on Pop Music. “Media Studies: Theories and Approaches” is an introduction probably targeted at first-year students. Laughey presents a couple of key question and perspectives on media in order to raise interest in the new discipline. Laughey assumes his readers do not come from a literary studies or humanities background. The book seems to fit quite well in a curriculum for students of marketing. The more philosophical aspects in the chapter on semiotics for example are not dealt with in depth.
Laughey presents ideas from authors as diverse as Marshall McLuhan, Walter Benjamin, Pierre Bourdieu, Jürgen Habermas, and Stuart Hall. Obviously Laughey can only scratch on the surface. “Media Studies” appear as the apolitical and uncritical version of Cultural Studies which has lost the relation with critical and social theory. The theories of critical thinkers such as Stuart Hall are presented with little political context.
This is the book you can turn to when you plan to invest not more than two days of study in learning about Media Theory.

Great author and 'been-there-done-that!'

The title had put many folks ill at ease but it reflects the diplomatic point at the time written. Really nice book for the region and accurate because I've been there and done that, too! Wish I could have met her and Dr. and Mrs. Bosch. Their books are classic in their approach and speaks volumes of their character.

Concerning the title, the Persian Gulf Arabs of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Barhrain and the Emirates call the Persian Gulf, the Arabian Gulf. Since the author was working with the permission of the Government of Saudi Arabia, she would have use the title "Arabian Gulf."

a researcher should be professional in the terms he used specially for the title of his research book . there is no arabian gulf anywhere in the world. the correct name is Persian Gulf. United Nations says so.
